In 1965 several dog owners recognized the need for a local kennel club that would encompass obedience training along with conformation and obedience competitions. Since that time, the Club has offered obedience classes, hosted educational seminars, participated in community events, taught handling classes, and provided information to the public on the care and exhibiting of purebred dogs. In 2007, the Skyline Kennel Club hosted its 58th and 59th AKC All-Breed Dog Shows, 52nd and 53rd Obedience Trials, and 3rd and 4th Rally Trials.
Today the club has grown to support and encourage the advancement of a variety of dog related activities including conformation shows, obedience trials, junior handling, herding events, and field trials.
Our mission is to further the advancement of purebred dogs while encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and obedience trials.
